And that's where I am now, kinda stuck without them. Figuring that since one of these ships still exist in fairly good condition, I reasoned that this would grant me easiest access to some dimension drawings that I could model the basic shape off of. And so on a lark, I responded to the tone of "Challenge accepted".įiguring that the best place to start would be the most recent and famous of battleships, I had set my sights on the Iowa class battleship. Thanks to a certain Aerohomo, I had recently developed a newfound appreciation to the largest, awesome antiquated mobile weapon system. While introducing SolidWorks, my teacher had joked to the class: "you could even model a battleship in there if you really wanted to". The final project for my school's introduction to the SolidWorks 3D modeling program allows me to pick and model anything of my choosing. Is Wargaming willing and able to share their sources they used to model the ship? I'd appreciate a hint to where I could find such a blueprint, preferably not behind a paywall like. Short ver: Looking for dimensioned plans of an Iowa class battleship, specifically it's hull lines, or "lines plan". ![]()
